The New Diggs!
We got out of there the next night and slowly moved with amazing help from Clint and kims friend Dustin. Now I'm just praying we don't have to move again for a long time! We have been there for about a week now and we have slept so soundly and I love waking up to Marty downstairs singing. Oh and we planted our first garden (that hopefully produces) in the backyard. We planted peas, carrots, cucumber, spinach, cantelope, and watermelon! We didn't get to the sunflowers but those will be planted shortly! I love where we live! it has been so peaceful and we love our ward and area so much already.
as for hair school we had a big hair show type runway thing last week that im am so grateful is over. the school was divided up into groups of 12 girls and then we all had about 8 models and had to find music for our segment, dancers, costumes, choreography and hair pieces/styles. and to be completely honest it would have been fun to look back on but our instructor kind of made is miserable because of how stressed she would get which made us stressed. before this all started people would say it will get frustrating and you will get mad at friends but once it is over you will have realized how fun it really was....all i have to say is...FALSE! when it was all over i was jumping for joy because we didnt have to do it anymore or deal with stupid people! but it was an experience because now i know what level of stress i can handle and create choreography within a day with the help of ashley! she is an friend at hair school that dances as well and we actually had to perform last minute because plans made by others didnt work out...suprise?! but here are some pictures...oh ps our segment was pocohontas....the theme of the whole show was "fairy tales" with other segments like avatar, toy story, pirates of the carribean and disney shows. everything turned out pretty sweet but again im relieved it over! haha. more actual camera (not phone) pictures to come!
on the left are some of our models..."grandma willow," "feathers" and "pocohontas"... then me and ashley on the right as the dancers. we also had models dressed as Kokoum, John smith, the chief, and the river. we had to improv with characters because we didnt want to use all people but surroundings! haha

V-day came early for me!
Be my Valentine?!
Matt and i had some lunch together and ran home to put my BEAUTIFUL roses in a vase! now i finally have a use for the many awesome vases we got for our wedding in April!! i cant get over how beautiful the red roses are and how surprised i was to get them!
I really am so lucky and have the best life. I share the best life with the best husband! Seriously someone taught him well because he never lets me down and is always so sweet to me! I know how much he cares for me because he shows it in everything he does. By always telling me he loves me, by treating me with so much respect, and simply by the way he looks at me and then kisses me on the forehead! I couldn't ask for any better because i really do have the best!

Matt will be working for AMP which is an alarm monitoring company. He has worked as a technician for 3 years and know the owners and has made a ton of friends through the company. So being an accountant now will be a little different but so less dramatic and more relax.

So Matt and I are really getting into a routin and not moving every 4 months! i loved our crazy life and cant imagine that its about to stop though. SO yeahhhh for matt and working so hard and searching for jobs! he is a great husband...scratch that... he is the best husband out there!!
I LOVE YOU MATT!

just home for the holidays
This is me by the way.. i wish..
The costuming is just amazing. they are so talented and mind blowing with the contortionists, acrobats, spinning, twirling, tossing and balancing! Seriously they are the best of the best. And it was Matt's very first Cirque Du Soleil so it was exciting to see his reaction to the performers. But this was only one of our many events of christmas presents....so on top of snowboarding the girls got tickets to see Wicked in the city!! so the 3 generations spent the day in SF shopping before the show. This was my second time seeing it and yes it was just as great as the first time!

For New Years Jake is coming up from Southern California with his girlfriend/fiance (planning things out for now) and her 2 year old son! Im so excited and i hear nothing but good things of Sara. I cant wait to meet her and spend a couple days with them. After all the meet and greet we are off to Seattle for a couple months!

It's the most WONDERFUL time of the year!
Matt finally graduated from Brigham Young University- Idaho on December 18th in Accounting and couldnt be more relieved to have that over and done with! His family was there (beside Taiwan Adam) to support him. He looked so happy and ready for the next adventure. Right now he has been interview with multiple companies looking for an accounting position with no luck so far. The back up plan is to complete his masters sometime in the next year. We really are hoping for a job first because everyone wants to hire someone with experience but if that doesnt work out its not that big of a deal and he will complete a masters...that always looks better on a resume anyways! He really has been working hard and deserves a little break. So the current plan is Christmas at the Beckmans and then its up to Seattle for a couple months to relax and make some moolah! Then its grad school in the fall...unless a job sneaks up on us!
We have started our journey for christmas...man for newlyweds we roadtrip way too much and way too far! but we enjoy it and cant wait to spend time with our families! So right now we have all our things moved and on the road. Our first stop was Utah where we visited Temple Square to look at the Christmas lights..oh man they are amazing! seriously on every big tree it covers EVERY branch!
(oh...P.S I dyed my hair a burgundy brown! Im liking it!)
so after the lights we went to Matt's sisters house and then the next day Matt had yet another interview. He never gives up and I am so proud of him for working so hard. He really is an amazing husband! I know every wifey says that but I cant help from not saying it! if that even made sense...Anywho..later on our agenda we are spending time with Zach and Brytni Despain (one of Matt's best friends) and going snowboarding/skiing on tuesday! I would have just said snowboarding but Matt does ski and so i feel like i need to include that just for him! I know im strange! ...whatever...but we are so pumped, especially since we went once last year and so it feels like it has been about 2 years! OOOOOOHHH im so excited!! Plus I will be testing out my new board! woopDwoop!!
So after snowboarding we will head out Wednesday morning for Danville, CA for christmas and some amazing mama Beckman food! oh i cant wait! and I'm sure that lady has some suprises up her sleeve for us...thats what makes her great! Man...i love this holiday season!! so on top of being home with my family (mom, dad, nana, papa...and maybe even jake!) i get to see my friends!! they are always amazing for some good laughs! i miss those girls! cant wait!
Well...more to come later! hopefully i can get some good shots of my papa bowling on the Wii!!! he honestly has some amazing form!!

This is the whole Robinson Gang for Thanksgiving!! it was so much fun to all be together! Especially since Adam, Kay Lizzy and James flew from Taiwan! All the kids were so cute...a little on the sick side so there was a BIT of crying but it was so much fun anyways! even though the following picture doesn't look too happy we were just super ready to eat! haha
Here is baby James and mama Kay...such a happy kid! and did i mention a Taiwanese model??..?
Lizzy hadn't played in the snow before so we got to run around the backyard and toss snowballs at Matt when he wasn't looking..or after i run out of the line of fire!! Lizzy had a blast!! we hat all the kids running around and playing on the swings! it was so fun!
It was a great Robinson Thanksgiving 2009!!

I HAVE THE BEST HUSBAND HAND DOWN!

Our thanksgiving post will come a little later but i have to shout out to everyone how amazing my husband is! I was only able to spend 2 days with the family for thanksgiving because i had to be back for work. So i left Friday super early in the morning, missed my sister in-laws first time to the temple, didn't get to spend enough time with the family and spend a useless day at work for black friday... because no one want to buy cell phones on black friday, everyone wants clothes or toys for christmas presents. So last night when I came home from work matt had a surprise waiting for me on the bed! it was a huge rectangular box.. and when i opened it up there was a beautiful snowboard! it was Christmas way too early. I asked matt why he gave it to me so early and he said it was an impulse buy because he was proud of me for going into work and not calling in sick! He really is just so thoughtful! He is always doing things to make me happy and I can honestly say that i am at my happiest when i am with him! I LOVE YOU MATT ROBINSON! I cant wait to go boarding and skiing!! It really goes to show that snowboarders and skiers can get along..even get married!! haha

Together Forever
Today marks our 6 months anniversary and we are still just loving life. Since we have been married we have gone through a lot already....i mean a lot for six months. From driving Coast to coast the week after we got married, job struggles, keeping our standards with temptations, the passing of a loved one, managing money, driving coast to coast yet again, moving , more job struggle, and currently working on graduation.Everything that we go through we go through together and are always thinking of the other. We make such a great team I honestly couldnt have asked for anyone for suited for me. We really truly are a perfect match. We are always laughing and having fun. The picture posted above was just a couple weeks ago before i got my job. We went to Island Park for the weekend with another couple Paul and Karma. We stayed at their cabin and the next morning we went swimming in a freezing cold lake and then traveled to another lake just five minutes away and rented canoes for an hour or two. I was a beautiful day and we just relaxed. I can only imagine that my life with Matt will be nothing but laughs, adventure and excitement.
I do have to say how grateful i am to have such an amazing husband as Matt. He is the perfect husband and i couldnt have asked for better. He is such a great example and helps me to be better. He is my best friend and I am so lucky to have him. I love him so much and am so excited to see how our lives pan out together and growing old together. I love you Matt Robinson and i am so proud to say i am your wife for time and all eternity!

The One Who Fainted
So here is the great and embarassing story ever told... I recieved a call Tuesday morning from the manager at verizon he told me all my background checks had been processed and they wanted me to start as soon as I could. So I told him I can start today and he said that's great! Be here at 11. That was only in an hour and I still needed to get showered and drive for a half hour. So i rushed as fast as I could. I arrived on time and ready. It was easy and interesting with the different people that come in. My lunch break wasn't until 3 and I was starving by 1. I forgot to ask for a ten minute break and decided I was fine and waited it out. Right around 3 I asked someone if I can go on lunch because I was getting really hungry. As he walked to the back to get the manager to take my spot another coworker came up and he asked how I was doing on my first day..all of a sudden my vision went crazy blurry and I was disoriented. Next thing I knew I was lying on the floor with a customer telling me I needed food, he sounded like a doctor. Behind him were about 6 customers looking over, others yelling call 911, get an ambulence and take her to the hospital. I didn't need any of those but food. I smacked my head and went crazy pale. I slowly stood up and walked to the back room and my coworker shoved half eaten bag of tortilla chips, day old popcorn and some saltine cackers. I was so embarrassed all I wanted to do was get out of there. Once I got back to work after lunch everyone kept asking how I was and if I was going to pass out again. I really only needed nutrients and get my color back. The next couple of days coworkers I hadn't met yet were asking about my fainting. Oh my gosh I was so embarassed and now known as the new fainting greeter. So embarassing and my worst work story ever. Now I make sure I eat some breakfast before I leave and take some breaks and lunch like I should have!! ...no more passing out!

The Road Well Traveled

We had a ton of fun, and took our time with a stop in St. Louis and many gas stations with religious comments on the bathroom stalls. very interesting and kinda funny actually!
We left the ghetto east coast of Laurel, Maryland and started our journey from coast to coast back to Rexburg. We had "some" fun times this summer but were more excited to get back to the west coast where people wont give you the stink face and are friendly. We drove on the 70 back home and got to see some beautiful parts of the country!
First Stop:
Our first stop was in Terre Haute, Indiana. We only stayed the night but it was a super fun night. We decided to camp our way back because Matt had gotten an awesome tent for his birthday. We just stayed at a KOA but turns out we were the only one in a tent...everyone had trailers. Everyone was sitting outside their campers and just watching us as we set up our tent for the night. I wonder what they thought... "look at these youngins trying to set up a tent..so old school" "the cool thing now are campers, what are they thinking!" But we had an awesome relaxing night..we set up a fire and made smores!! they were so good..okay i could only handle one, but that one was so delicious!! the next morning we hit the road again.

Stop 1.5
We made a pit stop in St. Louis, Missouri to see the gateway arch. It was so cool! We walked around the park for a little while, took pictures and checked out the museum. We didn't go up because of the time constraint, and it was a little pricey. The Mississippi river is gross..

Side view of the arch

Stop Two:
We stopped the second night in Goodland Kansas right on the Colorado/Kansas border.. or Kanerado.. haha. Not much going on here except a bunch of wild sunflowers. I loved them.

Stop 2.5:
We traveled through Denver and ate some left over ribs from the night before somewhere west of Denver. They were still delicious the next day.

Pretty much the funniest graffiti I've ever seen

Back in the west:
We finally got back to Salt Lake and hung out with matt's family. His uncle Brent took us wakeboarding and we all tried out a little wake surfing. We got it down pretty well!

After a few days in Utah it was back on the road to California! We stopped at the salt flats
My sassy pose.. Matt loves this picture..We stopped in Lovelock NV to get gas. I don't really know why we took this picture.. but we'll always remember Lovelock because chelsea started feeling sick here and it kinda made her stay in CA less fun than it could've been.

CALIFORNIA!
We went in California to visit Chelsea's parents. It was a lot of fun and relaxing a relaxing 5 days near the end of our cross country tour. Most of the time we just hung out at home and ate our weight in whatever Tami cooked for us (which was whatever we wanted pretty much). It's a pretty good life at the Beckman house, except now my suit doesn't fit :). We did get out of the house a little bit though. We went to the beach one day, watched the mariners beat the A's :) and celebrated Chelsea's birthday. As part of her birthday, Chelsea's parents took us out to dinner in Walnut Creek, then to the musical Wicked in San Francisco. IT WAS AMAZING! The singers were awesome, and to me sounded at least as good as the CD if not better. Pretty nice that I got to share in the birthday treatment when it wasn't even my birthday! haha. It was amazing and was the perfect ending to a fun week in Danville.
We also picked up a couch that Chelsea's parents (well, Tami) said we could take off their hangs (Thanks again), and a scooter that was in their shed. Packing those into the truck was not very fun, but we packed it all in and it got here without any problems. Our apartment in Rexburg is on the 3rd floor and hauling that couch up here was quite a feat. It would have been all worth it, except that when we tried to get it passed the turn in our entry.. it wouldn't fit. We were (are) so disappointed! We were looking soo forward to having that couch in our living room. For the time being, however, my cousin Kyle and his wife Alli are the temporary recipient of Mom and Dad's generosity and our hard work. They did trade us a love seat that we are now using and is serving us well.
The scooter on the other hand has not disappointed! We did have to charge the battery so that the electric start would work again, but other than that, it was the best thing thats ever happened to finding a parking spot! Too bad the scooter season is quickly coming to an end. The last time I took it to school, I had to scrape the frost off the seat first. Oh well, I just can't wait till spring so we can cruise around on it again! Thanks again Mom and Dad Beckman! I think we tripled the number of miles on that scooter in the 3 weeks we were riding it.
